Today has been a long day. I've spent the whole day since I woke up till just now editing Chapter 5 titled, Shakedown to 1995, and I'm only halfway through, but I'm positive that I will make my deadline and have it ready and published by Saturday. It's a long chapter, more than twice as long as the last chapter. This chapter is very important and my favorite chapter of the book, as it gets us to the middle of the story and the start of the climax.
Shakedown to 1995 has a little bit of everything, some romance, horror, then more romance. Some action, and lots of good dialogue. I don't write a lot of romance so this chapter was a lot of fun for me to write, and even more fun to edit it today. When I first wrote it back in February, it was during a depressing part of my life and was missing that mmf it needed to be complete and romantic. I'm in a different place now so the edits have been grand, and I've added a lot to it to give the proper punch it needs to have a romantic tone.
Shakedown takes place on New Year's Eve 1994 in downtown Los Angeles, and introduces some new characters that are vital to the story. I won't spoil too much, but there is some romance and a couple of new villains to get to know. One of them we only get to see briefly but he will be back in a major role in the second book. The second one is one of the scariest guys I've ever envisioned. I can't wait for you to meet him.
