Area 51 And The Raid

Updated: Aug 20, 2019

I've been obsessed with everything to do with Aliens since as long as I can remember. While other kids were out playing recess, I was in the school library reading books about abductions, UFO's ect. The stories about "The Men in Black" used to scare the crap out of me. This was a time before Hollywood had made comedic movies about it. Horror movies had no affect on me, but these stories... they were what kept my awake at night as a child. I had also read a little about Area 51. This was before Bob Lazar had come out as a whistle blower. There was very little information on it before then, but the signs were there. "NO TRESPASSING" and "VIOLATORS WILL BE SHOT". Or at least that is how I remember it. It was a secretive base, so secretive that it did not exist, according to the US government at the time.

Bob Lazar changed everything in 1989, when he came out as whistle blower as scientist that worked there, putting Area 51 on the map. According to Lazar he had been taking friends to watch UFO's right outside the base, getting one occasion of a UFO on video, which you can see in his 2018 documentary on Netflix, "Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers. Allegedly the story goes that the government became aware of what he was doing and they fired him. Scared that something would maybe happen to him, he went to the media and made some extraordinary claims. He had claimed that he had read documents that aliens had been involved with human history for the last 10,000 years. He had also claimed to be working there as scientist, and it was his job to reverse engineer UFO's that the US government had recovered. He had also claimed then that an unknown element 115 is what fueled the UFOs, which was later synthesized in 2003 for the first time, evidence he claimed validated his story. His credibility gets a bit murky from there.

There was no proof of the education that he had claimed to have from MIT, or that he had had any education at all. The job he claimed to have had before working at Area 51, was as a physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, they like MIT had no record of him ever working there. It was starting to look like he was hoaxter that made it all up. According to Bob though, this was all about discrediting him, and somehow the government erased his education and job history. It was starting to sound like your basic conspiracy theory hoax, but then a physicist that had legitly worked there, Robert Krangle came forward, and he had claimed to remember Lazar working there.

The story sounded very wishy washy to me, and I had this vision of Bob Lazar probably being a whack job. In pictures he does have a quirky look about him. Then I saw his interview on the "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast on Youtube which was published June 20, 2019. My image of a whack job dissipated. He came across as a well spoken, normal and truthful. If he's lying, he's a really good liar. The interview did go viral and now has almost 7 million views.

I think that's where all the passion for a raid on Area 51 originated from. My theory is a lot of people watched that Youtube and then went looking for information and found the raid. Sure it started as a joke, but now it has over 2 millions people saying that they are going to the event which is to be on September 20, 2019.

For those that have not heard or know what the Area 51 Raid is, I'll try to go into a bit more detail on it. On Facebook, users can create events, like family reunions, concerts, ect. Anyone can create one. And if they are made public anyone can respond to whether they are going, or interested. So far 2 million people have responded that they are going, while another 2 million are interested in maybe going. Which makes it the biggest event I've ever seen on Facebook. The idea is that they are all going to show up outside Area 51, rush the gates and demand to see the aliens!

Sure most of the people, are not serious and only saying they are going as a joke. But there is at least a small amount who are dead serious and have every intention of showing up. Hotels in the immediate area are being reported to be either full, or close to full on September 20, 2019. So, someone is going. It will be interesting to see what transpires.
